1. Grab your viewer’s attention in the first 3 seconds
Generally, users have a short attention span on TikTok and they are likely to scroll past your video if you do not pique their interest within the first 3 seconds. Brands can incorporate cool elements for the younger generation such as language/slang, trending topics or create curiosity for the user.
2. Be Vertical
Unlike other social media platforms such as Facebook or Instagram, TikTok videos are all in vertical formats. As a brand, you have to create video content and imagine how the user will be watching your video (eg. you are holding the phone and watching the video on the go).

3. Be Immersive
One way to hook your audience is starting the video by showing a daily scenario of a user. Usually, people like to watch videos that they can relate to.

4. Keep the sound in mind
Music is key in TikTok. Brands can design videos with music/sounds that complement the visuals, as people are drawn to great aesthetics. You can also use the latest songs or catchy tunes as recognisable music tend to make people watch more. However, make sure the music/sounds you use is in line with your brand.
